Bird watching @ ManchanabelePosted by Prashanth M (Bangalore, India) on 14 November 2006 in Landscape & Rural. I went to Manchanabele dam (around 45 KMs from Banaglore) with my cousin Shashank. Main intention was bird watching near the water body. With no sufficient equipment to shoot, I borrowed Shashank's wide-angle lens and took some landscape shots. Shashank was busy capturing birds with his 300mm. Update: Finally after a month, managed to write about the trip on my travel blog - payaniga. :) Please rate my blog in CoolPhotoblogs &/or VFXY using links below My new photoblog - Clicks

Jason Kravitz from Brussels, BelgiumBird watching (and bird photos) can be lots of fun. The first time I saw a bird through a spotting scope was amazing - such clarity. I still have not been able to see them that well through my camera. 300mm is good for the larger birds but smaller ones are still hard to sneak up on at that focal length. I wish the Canon 500mm wasn't so expensive and even worse heavy! This is a nice shot - looks like a postcard 14 Nov 2006 8:48am Rayalu from Singapore, SingaporeWow, nice shot capturing the beautiful landscape 14 Nov 2006 11:36am Suby from Milton Keynes, United KingdomYup should be on a postcard or calendar, good shot. This picture should be on a calendar. As I have already commented on your other blog, the lake looks quite serene. 19 Dec 2006 3:38am |
